Dr Abdulkarim Ekzayez was interviewed by the BBC Arabic to comment on the suspension of the clinical trial of the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. Dr Ekzayez discussed the process of suspension and how the data will be reviewed by the relevant safety board before resuming the trial again. He also commented on the different clinical trials that are being conducted around the world. He concludes that we still have hopes to reach a successful vaccines against COVID-19 by 2021.
